A phrase per day !

Well, this part of the forum is aimed at sharing things in English and I was thinking that we could help each other with this language -considered as easy, but not so easy sometimes..
Here, we will share some phrases, phrasal verbs or words that we like and maybe thanks to it, the vocabulary of the readers will be improved !

I'll start with one of my favourite expressions !!

To be yearning to (+ ing) means to be very impatient about something ! For example, you haven't seen someone for a while and you know that you are to see him/her and so you're very happy and impatient to be this day !
Synonyms : to be eager to (+ verbal base), to be looking forward to (+ ing)

I'm alone in this topic, but nevermind =D

Well, today, the phrase is "to fulfil one's* dream" and it means that when you have a dream, you do everything to make it come true !
So, for example, I'd like to live in Ireland and if I succeed in being a French teacher there, then my dream would be fulfilled !

The expression I learned today while working my vocabulary lists with friends :

To have a spot point for something/somebody : avoir un faible pour.

Ex : I've got a soft point for Scottish-like accents =)
